New Orleans. 2015. There is something about street photography that can be both intimidating and exhilarating. When the moment is captured (in the decisively masterful words of the famed street photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson) the result can be really good. I shot this photograph on a French Quarter street in New Orleans. I don’t know if the young woman dancing is formally connected to the jazz band that set up on the street, but she certainly became connected to their music that echoed off the 200 year-old walls of the Quarter. She became one with her shadow.
